This week is a whirlwind — beautiful, busy, emotional, and full of purpose. On Thursday, we host the official Media & Stakeholder Listening Session for Sephonono, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue than Botswana Craft.
Botswana Craft has a soul of its own. It’s warm, cultural, familiar, and filled with stories — the perfect space to introduce an album that comes straight from the heart.
A Listening Experience, Not a Concert
This won’t be a live show.
It’s not a full band performance.
It’s a carefully curated listening session — a moment for invited guests to sit, breathe, and truly hear the music.
We’ll listen together, track by track, and I’ll share the stories, inspirations, and emotions behind Sephonono. It’s intimate, relaxed, and intentionally personal.
I will sing one or two songs live, accompanied only by my keyboard player — stripped-down, raw, and honest. Just enough to give a live taste of the album’s spirit, without overpowering the listening experience.
The Preparation: Quiet Work Behind a Quiet Event
People often think that an intimate event means less work… but this week has been full of details:
- Finalising the track order for the session
- Polishing talking points for each song
- Rehearsing the two live pieces
- Coordinating with the Botswana Craft technical team
- Checking sound levels for both playback and live vocals
- Confirming media, stakeholders, creatives, and supporters
- Aligning timing, flow, ambiance, and staging
- Making sure hospitality matches the atmosphere
Behind every quiet moment is a lot of planning — and this week has been exactly that.
Styling, Wardrobe, and the Signature Look
Even for an intimate session, presentation matters.
Thursday’s look is simple but elegant — very Sephonono.
And yes… the sunglasses will be there.
A little diva energy never hurts.
Media Engagement in the Final Days
From calls to interviews to messages from journalists, the media interest has been heartwarming. Sharing the deeper layers of Sephonono — why I wrote it, what it means, what I hope people feel — has reminded me how personal this project is.
Each conversation this week has helped shape how I want to tell the story on Thursday.
Botswana Craft: The Perfect Home for This Moment
There’s something special about launching an album in a space that celebrates Botswana’s cultural heartbeat. Botswana Craft is rooted in creativity, tradition, and authenticity — everything that Sephonono represents.
I can already imagine the room on Thursday: warm lights, familiar faces, soft music, and stories weaving through the air.
It feels right.
It feels like home.
See You on Thursday
To everyone attending: thank you for giving this music your ears, your time, and your presence.
To my team: thank you for running with me in this busy, beautiful week.
To my supporters: thank you for believing in Sephonono.
I cannot wait to share this moment with you — quietly, truthfully, and with love.
Love,
Nnunu
