I recently turned the lights on in a new home for my music online. It’s small. It’s simple. It’s deliberately minimalist. Think of it like moving into a quiet studio before the paintings go up on the walls: there’s space to breathe, space to listen, and space to grow.
My new adress is https://nnunuramogotsijazz.com
please feel free to drop by.
For now, you’ll find just the essentials—clean typography, calm colors, and the music front and center. No pop‑ups. No carousel of distractions. Just a place where you can arrive, exhale, and hear the songs the way they were meant to be heard.
Why I chose minimal (for now)
Over the years I’ve learned that excess noise—online and off—can crowd out the parts of life that matter. A stripped‑back website helps me keep the focus on:
- Listening first. Fewer bells and whistles mean more attention on melodies, stories, and lyrics.
- Clarity. A quiet layout lets you find what you came for without clicking through a maze.
- Room to grow. I want to add sections thoughtfully over time instead of throwing everything at you on day one.
The site is the digital version of a neat rehearsal room: swept floors, a chair, a mic, and a soft light. We’ll add the rest piece by piece.
What’s coming next
Over the coming months, I’ll build the site up in careful layers. Here’s what I’m working on behind the scenes:
1) Music & Stories
Song pages with notes about the writing, the language, the studio sessions, and the people who helped bring each track to life. Expect lyrics, translations where helpful, and a few studio anecdotes.
2) Watch & Listen
A tidy library of performance clips, live sessions, interviews, and curated playlists—organized so you can find exactly what you’re in the mood for without scrolling forever.
3) Dates
A simple calendar with show announcements, radio appearances, and media slots. If you’re a promoter or presenter, this will be your quick reference.
4) Gallery
Photography has always inspired me. I’ll be adding stills from the road, rehearsals, album art sessions, and a few candid snapshots that capture the spirit of the music and the people around it.
6) Shop (soft‑launch)
When it’s ready, I’ll open a small, carefully curated shop. Think limited‑run items that feel personal and enduring rather than mass‑produced clutter.
7) Notes / Newsletter
Short, gentle updates—monthly at most. No inbox flood, no spam—just the essentials: new releases, upcoming dates, and the occasional story worth telling.
How you can help this space grow
- Bookmark the site and check back now and then. New rooms will open quietly.
- Share it with a friend who might enjoy the music. Word of mouth still means everything.
- Tell me what you need. If there’s something you wish the site had—lead sheets, translations, instrumental versions, teaching notes—let me know. I’m building this for us, not just for me.
A note to radio friends and media
Thank you for the recent support and airplay—it means the world. The site will soon include a direct contact for scheduling interviews. In the meantime, if you need anything specific, reach out and I’ll make sure you have it quickly.
Gratitude
I’m grateful you’re here at the beginning. A minimalist site is a promise as much as it is a choice: a promise to keep things honest, focused, and human. As more pages appear, I’ll keep the same spirit—clear, uncluttered, built with care.
Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for walking with me as the music finds its way into the world—one note, one page, one quiet room at a time.
With love,
Nnunu
