When the Music Paused.

On Friday, life reminded us how quickly the rhythm of an ordinary day can change.

My husband — the quiet backbone behind so much of Sephonono — suffered a mini stroke. It was a frightening moment, the kind that makes everything else stop. The plans, the music, the emails, the promotion, the excitement around the album — all of it suddenly became secondary to one thing only: getting him help, fast.

And thankfully, that is exactly what happened.

Because I managed to take him quickly to hospital, and because of the care of a wonderful medical team, he is doing well. Today, he was discharged, and we are deeply grateful. Grateful for speed. Grateful for expertise. Grateful for kindness. Grateful for the gift of recovery.

For those who know the story of Sephonono, you will know that my husband has not been standing in the spotlight — but he has been standing strongly behind it. He has been the steady hand, the organiser, the encourager, the strategist, the believer. He has carried so much of the work behind the scenes so that the music could travel, breathe, and find its audience.

Now, the focus changes.

The main project is no longer emails, radio submissions, streaming numbers, interviews, or launch planning. The main project is healing.

Recovery will take patience. It will take rest. It will take discipline. It will take love. And we are ready for that. The music is still there. Sephonono is still there. The journey is still there. But for now, we move gently, carefully, and gratefully.

There is something powerful about realising that the people behind the music matter more than the music itself. Songs can wait. Campaigns can pause. But life, health, and love must come first.

I want to thank everyone who has supported Sephonono, and everyone who has walked with us in this season. Your encouragement means more than you know. We are hopeful. We are calm. We are focused. And above all, we are thankful.

My husband is home now.

He is recovering.

And that is the sweetest song today.
